Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Rap music star, Olaitan ‘DaGrin’ Oladapo, is currently recuperating at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, LUTH, where he was admitted following a ghastly auto accident that almost claimed his life last week.

He has regained consciousness and has been transferred from the Intensive Care Unit to a Ward at the hospital where doctors are monitoring his recovery.

P.M. NEWS gathered that the Owu, Abeokuta, Ogun State-born singer had a successful surgery over the weekend. The surgery was carried out to determine if the head injury he sustained from the accident did not affect his brain, and according to the doctors, there is no cause for alarm.

“We thank God for his mercies. DaGrin is responding to treatment, so his fans should not panic because he will bounce back soon. The head injury is close to his right ear, but there is improvement now. No problem,” DaGrin’s manager, Tunde Peters told P.M. NEWS.

The Pon Pon Pon crooner was involved in the ghastly accident on Thursday at about 2:30 a.m. while returning home from a friend’s birthday party in Surulere.

He rammed his newly acquired Maxima 3.5 SE car with customized registration number, Dagrin 03. into a stationary truck in front of Alakara Police Station, Mushin, Lagos.
