Late President Umaru Yar'Adua
Nigeria’s ailing President, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua is dead. He passed on earlier this night between 9.30 and 10pm at the Presidential Villa.
He has since November, been battling acute Pericarditis, an inflammation of the membrane around the heart.
He was in February, brought back to the country from the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia under the cover of darkness in and has since been held incommunicado Late President Umaru Yar'Adua will be buried Thursday, May 6, 2010 according to Muslim rites.
